a lot of brands make this style, but these are the best balance of chunky and sleek that i've ever seen. and don't pinch across the forefoot. add waterproof and what more could you want.

My first pair of La Canadienne….i usually wear between a 7-7.5 so I got 7.5. They fit perfectly with a medium sock, and I was amazed at the instant comfort. I have slightly wide toes and narrow heel, and I feel no slipping or tightness. I love the height; I can dress these up or down and think I’ll be happy for years.
